What first aid courses do we offer?
We provide HSE-compliant, OFQUAL, FAA-regulated First Aid training, including:
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) – 1-day course (also available in blended format)
First Aid at Work (FAW) – 3-day certification (also available in blended format)
Paediatric First Aid (PFA) – OFSTED & EYFS-approved for childcare (also available in blended format)
Basic Life Support (BLS) & AED (Defibrillator) Training (Anaphylaxis included)
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA England)
We also offer bespoke training and are happy to come to a workplace or home to deliver some specific training required

Are your first aid courses officially accredited?
Yes. Our courses are:
Regulated by OFQUAL (UK government-approved)
Compliant with all HSE guidelines (for workplace safety)
Recognised by OFSTED and EYFS (for childcare providers)

How long does a first aid course take?
Course Durations:
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW): 1 Day. Blended option available with 2 Hours online and 4 Hours teaching time
First Aid at Work (FAW): 3 Days, or 2 days for a requalification. Blended option available for both with 1 day online
Paediatric First Aid: 12 Hours (split over 2 days) Blended option available with 1 day online
AED & CPR Training: Half-day session
Bespoke sessions: 1.5 Hours – 3 Hours

How much does first aid training cost?
Pricing:
EFAW: From £105 (1 day)
FAW: From £305 (3 day)
Paediatric First Aid: From £105 (1 day, 2 days from £180)
Bespoke small group sessions from £55 per person

Do you offer on-site first aid training?
Yes. We deliver onsite training at your:
Workplace, School and Healthcare Facility
Our home office is in Hove, East Sussex. We cover West Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Hampshire, and parts of Greater London, including Croydon and Bromley

How often should first aid training be renewed?
Renewal Requirements:
EFAW/FAW: Every 3 years (HSE recommends annual refreshers)
Paediatric First Aid: Every 3 years (mandatory for childcare)It is recommended that all qualified first aiders undertake a half-day refresher online session each year. This is offered free of charge when trainees undertake a blended (partly online) qualification

Can you fail a first aid course?
Possibly – you must demonstrate competency in practical skills
We offer extra support and adjustments if needed and will suggest you re-do part of our course to fully demonstrate competencies

What’s the difference between EFAW and FAW?
Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW):
1-day course (or 2 Hours online and 4 Hours direct training) Covers basic workplace emergencies
First Aid at Work (FAW):
3-day course (1 day can be done online if requested) Required for higher-risk workplacesOffers a wider range of topics covered

Is your paediatric first aid course OFSTED-approved?
Yes. Our 12-hour Paediatric First Aid meets all Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards for:
Childminders, Nurseries and Schools
We’d also recommend the course to caregivers who would like more comprehensive training and coverage

Is online first aid training valid?
Blended Learning Option:
Theory online + mandatory in-person assessment – fully OFQUAL and FAA regulated
Also fully recognised by HSE & OFSTED
Valid 3 years

Can first aid training help with workplace compliance?
Yes. Our courses meet all:
Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 HSE, OFQUAL, FAA, EYFS & OFSTED requirements
We offer fully regulated courses, in line with insurances

Yes. Our MHFA England courses teach:

What’s your cancellation policy?
Flexible Rescheduling:
Free changes with 21 days’ notice
Negotiable on request
50% fee within 5 days
For large group training (more than 12 people) cancellation policy will be negotiated prior to booking

What if I'm nervous or worried I'll get things wrong?
Most people feel a bit nervous before first aid training - especially CPR
Don’t worry; our courses are friendly, supportive and very hands-on
Nobody is expected to be perfect
We guide you through everything step-by-step and create a relaxed environment where questions are always welcome

Will the course just be slides and paperwork?
Definitely not.
Our training is practical, interactive and designed to keep people engaged
Expect realistic scenarios, discussion, hands-on practice, humour and useful real-life examples, not hours of being talked-at

What should I wear to a first aid course?
Comfortable clothes are best, as some parts of the training involve kneeling on the floor for CPR practical activities
There’s no formal dress code as such, just come ready to join in. Jeans, trousers, shorts or leggings are recommended

Do people actually enjoy first aid training?
Surprisingly… yes!
People often arrive expecting a very formal day and leave saying how enjoyable, practical and empowering it was
We keep sessions interactive, relaxed and realistic while still covering everything properly and professionally

Is the training realistic and up to date?
Yes, all training follows current UK Resuscitation Council, HSE and awarding body guidance
We regularly update course content to reflect the latest recommendations and real-life best practice

What else do you offer?
Lots of bespoke sessions in a variety of places. For example, we’ve recently delivered:
‘How to perform effective CPR and use an AED’ for a running club, at Sussex University
‘Child and baby CPR and choking procedure’ for a group of parents in their homes
‘A demonstration of common First Aid life-saving techniques’ in a large corporate workplace
An assembly for 170 school children with follow-on bespoke MHFA sessions and consolidation classes
Cheese and wine and first-aid-Friday at home’; a practical and social event where we demonstrated what do to in key life-threatening scenarios
